In China, there has long been rumours of the missing Treasure of Zhang Xianzhong. This treasure supposedly originates from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, where Zhang Xianzhong, the leader of a peasant's revolt was killed, and a large amount of gold and silver treasure was sunken into the Minjiang River. Many people did not believe the stories, but in 2017, archaeologists uncovered a large amount of artifacts in the river.
